Summary
Dennis Whitaker is a fox hybrid who hasn't been comfortable in his own body for the past decade. He used to have a shifting schedule, but that went to shit when he left Broken Bow, and hasn't been the same since. Then one night, he learns that Jack Abbot is like him; he's a wolf hybrid. Suddenly, he has the home and supports he always wanted.
OR
Robby kinda sorta kidnaps Dennis after figuring out he's a hybrid who hasn't had the chance to shift in weeks, and takes him back to his house so he can be himself with Abbot. Chaos, self hatred, and the first ounce of peace Dennis has felt in years ensues.

“You do not look like you would watch hockey.”
“You don’t look like you’d have a boyfriend,” the man shot back. Ilya shrugged. “Was not intentional. He was pretty, and I was 18. Things happen.” He wasn’t supposed to say these things, Shane had told him not to, but Doctor Whitaker wouldn’t tell Shane anything.

Ilya gets the shit knocked out of him during a game, and gets sent to the emergency room at PTMC. He gets pain meds, and finds himself sharing about his VERY secret relationship with his doctor, who in turn, shares about his own secret relationship. -

Dennis gets top surgery, and has to come out to Robby in order to get his time off.
He expects judgement, or criticism, not Robby making sure he had a good doctor and post-op plan.
He definitely didn't expect Robby to turn up at his apartment to check in on him.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Summary
Shane and Ilya qualify for an international scouting championship, well before they're meant to be scouted, and get put on the same team. Ilya doesn't know a word of English, and Shane didn't even know Russia was included in the championship. They still make fast friends, attempting to bridge the language barrier, while dealing with the very confusing realization that 'this boy is pretty'. Ilya is 15, Shane is 14.

Summary
A lot of workplaces saw a vampire feeding from a coworker similar to people dating. Therefore, similar regulations. Nothing really enforced on a federal or state level. In the PTMC, those regulations weren’t common. Then again, in the whole hospital, Dennis was one of two vampires. And the other had a blood letter. Dennis just had weird ass dive bars.

Being with Freddie Benson is like an itch beneath her skin that Sam doesn't even know if she's scratching properly.
She doesn't know if they're right for each other. She doesn't know if that even matters.
Because god if the pieces of his shrapnel heart don't match hers in the sort of way that scrapes a girl raw.
Carly doesn't get Freddie the way that Sam does. The way that Freddie's mother fucked him up.
Freddie might seem like the most well-adjusted among them, but Sam knows better.
She knows better, because she knows what it looked like when her mother shattered the mirrors in the house once- that last time before she was locked up in the loony bin- and Sam had to stare at herself, all funhouse-wrong, in those shards of mirror for so long.
There is something in Freddie Benson's heart that is like that the fucked up pace of her own. That beats off-center, never able to follow along to the marching-band drumbeat that the rest of the world turns to.
(Aka: Freddie and Sam are friends with benefits that see each other plainly in a way that no one else does, and when Carly leaves town, they might finally find the ultimate common ground.)
