And Mr. Rodger have a strange dynamic to speak for:
As text on a page, she lived defined by examples and metaphors.
Questionable writing choices annotated between better days, then retracted in white-out.
Palm and pencil slurring pages in grey, closing each chapter sour and sore.
She didn’t understand why this author would write such a story.
(Rodger is secretly an author and Toodles finds out and is scared and Rodger gets twisted.

Summary
James and Louisa Elliot has had enough of their daughter wasting her time with those dumpster pets she dragged in long ago. To set her straight, they decide to take away one of her drones , regardless of her protests.
To them, it's nothing more than taking out the trash.
To Tessa, J and V, it's a chunk of their lives cruelly ripped away from them, never to return.
And for one, small maid...it's an act most unforgivable-something that needs to be repaid in blood.

Summary
A letter starts to make its rounds the summer after the incident on TV, written by Calumet's very own sunshine girl. She's hardly the same sunny girl she used to be, but no matter what, she'll let it be known that there were many things about the long-overdue dead man that were never known or understood---as well as her own apparent role in his life.
***
A rework of an older oneshot---still a post-COLORBARS letter through the eyes of Stephanie Glass, but with a stronger voice, and stronger feelings as well.

Summary
Harper Mateo has always had trouble connecting with others—even her own family.
No matter where she goes, she feels like she doesn’t quite belong. Even at home, talking with her parents, Leroy and Abigail Mateo, leaves her feeling disconnected—like she never had the internet connection needed to play the game of life.
What bothers her most is her relationship with her parents. She wants an inside joke, a corny family story, a fake tradition—anything.
Ironically, her parents set up that goal themselves.
Whenever they tell the story of a strange coincidence from before they knew each other, they always end it the same way:“What a small world.”
They seemed closer than ever. It became more than a funny coincidence to her—it became proof that they shared something she didn’t.
So if a strange headset was what connected her parents, maybe it could connect her to them too.
This totally won’t backfire and trap her in a place where even the impossible feels normal. And her habit of treating everyone like a person will totally not change the code of those who were never meant to be one.
