“Are you alright?” she asked.
“Why, yes, I’m just peachy,” Astarion replied.
“You were quite ferocious.” If he didn’t know any better, he would have mistaken her look of amusement for teasing.
He shrugged. “Had to live up to the standards that you set, darling. And, I won’t lie, the snack I had last night indeed increased my performance.” Tav quirked her eyebrows, trying to figure out what he meant by snack. It was his turn to shake his head. “You, my sweet,” Astarion said. “You’re the snack.”
Tav blushed, her face turning pink against the red blood splotches. “Oh.”
She was too much. Too much. “Oh,” Astarion repeated. He meant it mockingly.
