Colin Bridgerton is a rather popular travel influencer on Instagram and contributor to GQ magazine. He goes home for the holidays to visit his family after a particularly long stretch abroad. Somehow, he ends up going on an all-expenses paid trip to a little slice of heaven in the Caribbean with his best friend, Penelope Featherington. Colin’s fingers twitch. He shifts his weight from foot to foot. He’s been waiting for several minutes and he’s only getting more anxious. If only he could see her. He sighs dramatically.
“Your wife?” asks the customs officer.
Colin nods, eyes still searching for any glimpse of his friend, before realising that that isn’t correct. “I mean… no…” he mutters quietly.
We’re in Fiji, he reminds himself. They’re a very friendly people. She’ll be fine.
He still cannot see Penelope but he has a clear view of the customs officer, wearing plastic gloves and raised eyebrows, as he reaches into Penelope’s suitcase and pulls out the biggest dildo Colin has ever seen.
