"Fuck." You sigh. Another heat cycle...It has been many moons since your group exiled you after you left your designated mate (Yes, an arranged marriage), and you have spent many heat cycles alone.. each one stronger than the one before.

The surgery had been intense, and left the man in severe pain and with mobility issues. Not only that, but he had also lost a lot... so you were also there as emotional support as well.
The first few months were... rough. Getting to know one another was hard when the other didn't want anything to do with you and was completely stubborn in needing help.

“It’s about… my body,” Stede begins, clearly searching desperately for the right words. “I’m not like other men.”
“Fucking right,” Ed says. Stede looks at him, and there’s fear, actual fear in his eyes. “Whatever it is, I love you. Just tell me.”
