Nami frowned. "Shouldn't you two... you know... be dating before getting engaged?"
"We were," Zoro answered matter-of-factly.
Every head snapped toward him.
Robin tilted her head with an amused smile. "...Since when?"
"Since after we reunited," Sanji replied.
Franky's jaw hit the table. "THAT WAS THREE YEARS AGO!"
"Yeah." Sanji looked genuinely confused by everyone's reaction. "Why are you all acting so surprised?"
"Because this is the first time we're hearing about it!" Usopp cried.
Zoro looked around the table, equally confused. "...You didn't know?"
"No!" everyone shouted.
Sanji blinked. "Really?"
"Really."
The cook scratched the back of his neck. "Huh. We honestly thought all of you already knew."
"You thought we knew?" Nami repeated.
"Yeah." Sanji nodded. "You guys caught us together so many times that we figured there wasn't any point hiding it."

The cook was still there, just like he had been every night since Zoro moved in a week ago.
It shouldn’t have bothered him.
But it did.
Zoro had even seen him wobbling out of there past two in the morning, only to be back again early the next morning.
And tonight seemed to be especially bad.
Clicking his tongue in annoyance, Zoro grabbed a black marker he had used on the moving boxes, snatched up a notepad, and scribbled a quick message on it before stalking up to his window.

Or, Zoro moves in across Baratie and can't leave the exhausted cook alone, so he leaves him messages through the window.

“I fucking love you,” he sighs against Zoro’s mouth, always surprised by how easy it is to say it.
Zoro’s response is deadpan: “I bet you tell that to all the guys you let into your ass.”
“I do.” Sanji could kick him, but that’s the joke—Zoro’s the only man Sanji’s ever been with.
Maybe someday Sanji can afford therapy. Until then he’ll have to settle for getting his back blown out.
