The day of Iruka’s thirtieth birthday begins just like any other—and as the day progresses, with nobody reminding him of it and nothing around to distract him from his work, Iruka labours on as he always has. It’s not as though anyone else can do the headmaster’s duties, after all.
But when classes are out for the day and everyone’s headed home, Iruka returns from a late afternoon meeting to find something a little out of the ordinary.

He's irate when he's forced to teach a certain jinchuriki in his classroom and wants nothing to do with the brat. Then he notices the worst thing in the world: Uzumaki Naruto is hungry.
