Jude had moved out to live on his own with a roommate. Realizing that he needs to make a sufficient amount of money to pay bills he decides to haphazardly apply for jobs. Eventually he does get a call back, but there’s a problem. He doesn’t know what the job actually is. Although it does initially freak Jude out he does eventually realize this is the best thing that could happened to him.

“Right. Congratulating me,” Jude murmurs, as his thumb idly traces the line of Erling’s ear. “Sigrid cried, you know?”
Erling’s smirk fades, his grey eyes going gentle. “Sigrid?”
“When she saw you on the big screen after the whistle. The second you dropped your head, her whole face completely crumpled. Started sobbing right into my mum’s shoulder.”
Erling laughs, but it cracks in the middle. “Yeah? Good thing to cry sometimes, isn’t it? Cleans out the head.”
Jude’s lips twitch, a soft, wry smile tugging at his mouth. “Maybe for normal people, mate. You don’t do it much. Guess she gets the dramatic streak from her Pappa.”

The blond didn't even glance at his outstretched hand, he just held his eyes - a beat too long, flat, unreadable - before his gaze finally dropped to it, slow and unhurried.
"Didn't think smokers made it through preseason" he said, just that, no smile, then he took Jude's hand - quick, firm - a small, closed-lip smile pulling at his mouth without ever reaching his eyes, "I'm Erling" he tightened his grip, "Erling Håland".

Summary
The jeers and boos of the stadium are deafening as the alphas of the England football team drop to their knees, forced to watch as their omega team mates begin their walk of shame.
Erling is grateful at least that his Norwegian teammates did not have to endure this after the quarter final. The England team had been gracious winners, declining their right to humiliate their opponents, and Erling had felt a great rush of respect and affection wash over him for them.
The Argentinians have not been so generous.
They have insisted that tradition is to be adhered to in honor of their victory in the semi final. Or at least, some of them have. Erling knows that most of the Argentinians find this practice as outdated and barbaric as he does, but there are some who like to watch their rivals suffer.
And so Erling watches as the omegas of the England men’s football team are paraded naked in front of the world.
OR
The omegas of the losing team in every World Cup match are contracted to participate in a humiliating ritual, unless the winners decide to spare them. Erling is forced to watch Jude suffer through this ritual after the semi final.
