Summary
Jay was avoiding him. Cole wanted to shake him and ask why, why he was pulling away.
“Was it something I said? Jay, I’m sorry. We said we wouldn’t be awkward anymore. Please talk to me.”
He sighed. Maybe Jay had figured out his crush. Maybe he hated him now.
He’d been so stupid, thinking that he’d had a chance when Jay asked if he had a crush. Maybe Jay didn’t like him, even as just a friend — who knew? Jay was being all secretive and pulling away, probably because of something Cole had said.
And now everything with Jay was awkward again.
Things weren’t supposed to be awkward anymore.
~
Six years ago, Jay and Cole became best friends. Two years ago, they fell out out touch. Four months ago, they found each other again. They should be best friends, the inseparable duo.

Summary
"My bed is still a pile of rocks."
Jay looks up at him, confused. "Okay?"
Okay, that was indeed a shot in the dark. Cole tries again. "I was thinking about asking if Kai would share, but he offered to let Zane stay with him, didn't he? And Garmadon is sharing a room with Lloyd."
"Oh, so I'm the last option then?" Jay says like he's offended. But he's smiling when Cole looks back at him. "What's worse, sleeping on literal rocks or asking a guy to share the same bed for a few nights? No homo, obviously." That last word is heavily sarcastic.
***
there was only one bed, because Cole's is made of rocks. he and Jay should kiss about it idk. (set mid-tournament of elements, after they get their powers back but they're still on the island)Bookmarked by BlueFrogInABog
