Yen crept to the door in time for her youngest brother’s first cry. And cry he did, loud and unceasing, demanding to be heard. Her mother was sweaty and bloody and pained, and for a moment Yen felt a kinship with her. She was always in pain. Her mother held her youngest brother, and above all looked relieved. Yen didn’t understand it then, and she wouldn’t for another sixty years.
She leaned closer to the door. “Julian,” her mother said, to the little body in her arms. “Your name is Julian.”
Julian. Another person to hate her.

Summary
When Jaskier was four, he slipped his mother’s watch and went to the field to gather a bouquet of dandelions. He climbed back into the yard, as stealthy as a child really cared to be, and crept over to the barn. In the barn, lived a secret. (The man he thought his father said the secret was a monster, a plague. His mother said the secret was his sister.)

Jaskier comes from a far humbler background, and would really like to know why Yennefer never came back for her youngest brother.

Summary
Jaskier is saved by three lovely mermen, who all try to court the beautiful bard. Except, there's a communication barrier, and Jaskier didn't know he was being courted at all. Much less that he accepted all of them.
The mermen were confused at first, but they're all willing to share if the pretty human wants them all. -
