Summary
There’s a replica of the manpasijeok in a display box. The description says that the original was lost in a confusing incident, but its historical value makes the idea of the collection inconceivable without having it.
It’s a simple piece of wood, one that doesn’t even emit sound, but Yeong looks at it with disdain, exhausted by the idea of something so small causing so much trouble. He’s there, in a foreign country walking through the halls of some meaningless museum surrounded by historical pieces that have connected his family to the crown in such a way that one doesn’t exist without the other. But that relationship ends with him.After being forced to face the ghosts he sees every time he closes his eyes, Yeong disappears for a bit, visits old friends, writes some letters, tries an avocado smoothie, and meets someone he used to know.

Summary
Yeong thinks there are certainly some scenarios his training for Special Forces didn’t prepare him for. First, how to deal with a maniac monarch with a magic flute that disappears often to see his girlfriend. Or what to do when said monarch (who happens to be his best friend) leaves him stranded for five months with limited resources and the face of a person with his own identity.
(His CO would definitely disapprove of his improbable love story with a certain detective).
What he does know is that when Sin-jae proposes one of the most absurd ideas he has ever heard, he can't help but say yes.
Or Yeong gets not-so-accidentally married, dies for a while, considers a career change, and takes a vacation. In that order.

Lo que sí sabe es que cuando Sin-jae le propone una de las ideas más absurdas que ha escuchado en su existencia, no puede hacer más que decir que sí.
O Yeong queda varado en la república, empieza a salir con cierto detective, se enamora de dicho detective, se casa en una de las circunstancias más aterradoras de su vida, muere por un ratito, pierde a su marido y recupera a su mejor amigo. Y más tarde, se reencuentra con la persona que usa la cara de aquel al que tanto quiso, considera un cambio de carrera y se toma vacaciones. En ese orden.
