Reading the grammatical rules of Early Modern English is fun.
Because it is difficult to learn how thou was used in Early Modern English without bumping into pseudo-archaic or unintentionally erroneous usage, reading reference material is necessary.
In all honesty, the oddest part is thou's conjugations on modal auxiliary verbs, which do not get conjugated by person in modern usage.
That and VSO order phrases like “Lovest thou me,” which translates to “Do you love me,” which haven't been idiomatic constructions in modern English since as late as 1812, given it isn't mentioned in the section Of the Verb in A Grammar of the English Tongue.

For many stories, one of the most important aspects is writing a main character to which whom the reader can relate to. Being able to empathize with the characters within a story is important, as a connection is what helps the reader feel invested in the media itself.
With one sub-genre of literature, it goes even a bit more literal than that. “Reader-Insert” is a term that can mean a great variety of things. It is used as an adjective, a genre, and for some people who have been apart of the internet and fandom community, something that may even be looked at negatively.
This guide is to try and offer some insight and constructive help for those who are new to the term or simply want the point of view from someone else who is active in the community

An observation: communities seem to have local standards of tagging, like how alternative versions of Hololive characters are usually just the alternate version's name with their real counterpart's family name, even in cases where the alternate version has no canonical surname. There are exceptions to this, for instance, I know of a Holostars fan writer that has used them.
It does call into question if Olivia's corresponding tag should be “Olivia!Kureiji Ollie” or “Olivia (Hololive)”, given that her non-canonical existence implies that said non-canonical universe is a multiverse. Not that the canonical universe isn't also a multiverse. Metafiction is painful.
In retrospect, the latter would be used. -
