Summary
Book couldn’t remember a time when Force was not part of his life. They had known each other since they were four. Being classmates and schoolmates from kindergarten up until senior high, the only time they were ever apart was when they entered different universities for college. But even then, Book often heard about Force from their mutual friends and, most of all, from his parents—as his family and Force’s family also shared a close relationship and a long history spanning three generations. Their grandfathers had fought in the war together, and their parents were neighbors, childhood friends, and business partners.
Now at 24, single and somewhat accomplished as an omega with his own flourishing business in Bangkok, Book received an urgent message from his mother one day, summoning him back to their hometown in Chiang Mai. Puzzled and slightly panicked, he immediately booked a ticket and flew back that same day. Upon arrival, he was bombarded with one piece of bad news after another—from their family business being on the verge of bankruptcy to his father being terminally ill.
