”I hate to tell you this, but we’re stucked. I guess we made a bad call. Now we’ve got to figure something out, and quick. It will get cold inside here really fast.”
Clarke stares at him.
”But... but what can we do? Call for help? I’ve got no reception, what about you?”
Bellamy checks his phone. Then he shakes his head.
”Me neither.”
When Clarke and Bellamy are driving up to Lincoln’s mountain cabin to celebrate Chistmas with their friends they get stuck in the blizzard of the century.
Can they overcome their differences and work together in order to survive?

”Overreacting much?” he says, looking at her.
”Not really, no”, she answers. ”Just know when I’m not welcome and recognize an asshole when I see one.”
When Clarke first meets Bellamy, she really doesn’t like him. In fact, she kind of hates his smug, cocky attitude and that annoying smirk on his beautiful face. But then somehow he grows on her. Until one day she realises he is all she wants. But Bellamy doesn’t do relationships, and neither does Clarke.
But then an accident happens and everything Bellamy and Clarke thought they knew about themselves and each other changes.

”I get it. Not boyfriend material, huh?” he shrugs, and then ”I guess it was a bad idea, anyway. Not to sure Echo would approve.”
Clarke stops laughing immediatly. Echo? Her mind is searching, trying to remember the name, something Miller might have mentioned? She draws blank.
”Who’s Echo and why wouldn’t she approve?” Clarke says with a sinking feeling in her gut.
Bellamy’s looking guarded all of a sudden, not really catching her gaze, shrugging again. ”She’s the one I’ve been seeing”, Bellamy says, trying for casual but not quite succeding.
Clarke’s heart misses a beat. She suddenly is feeling raw, exposed, and a cold feeling is settling in her stomach. ”Since when?” Clarke’s voice sounds fragile, not quite holding.
”Since september?”
Bellamy and Clarke are best friends and Clarke feels safe knowing she is the girl he cares most about until one day she isn’t.

The peace with the grounders a few months back seems to hold. Slowly, life is begining to regain some normalicy. Clarke finds herself starting to long for things she hasn't let herself think about for a long time. Like belonging to someone. But what if that someone doesn't want to belong to you?

“Clarke--”
She shushes him easily, leaning to the side and grabbing an old knife and a tin of aloe vera gel, presenting the items to him. She holds up the knife with a wry half smile while her other hand thumbs the patches of hair that grace his cheeks. For a moment it feels like the whole world stops, and there’s nothing but the two of them here in this moment.
“You need to shave,” she tells him, and her eyes immediately catch on the bob of his Adam’s apple as he swallows.

She’s holding a box of bonbons when she feels tapping on her shoulder. Shrieking in fright, Clarke whips around, raising the box as a weapon and immediately mentally berating herself for such a poor choice of arms before --
“Bellamy,” she screams, shoving him in the chest as she tries to steady her heart rate. “What the fuck are you doing here?”
Or, the one where Bellamy shows up to Clarke's cabin before he's supposed to, and she has to work out just what he means to her.

Summary
Clarke knows she's being a little over-dramatic in her complaining about having to move to Maine, but it does seem pretty unreasonable of her mother to drag her to a small town in the middle of nowhere for the three months between high-school graduation and her starting college.
As it turns out, the summer is great. It's just the summer ending that's the problem.
