Summary
Shane Hollander suffers a career ending injury in Metros training camp derailing his pro hockey dreams before they even start. He is forced to come to terms with who he is without his sport and find a new direction. Ilya Rozanov with nobody around to push him has lost his love for the game. More than a decade later, the new team doctor brings up old feelings that never had the space to grow all those years ago, but are now growing out of control.

“Who are you talking to?” Sveta is looking with a raised eyebrow, at Ilya’s delighted face.
“Ah, I am talking to my catfish.”
“What do you mean, your catfish?” Ilya angles the phone so Sveta can see the shirtless picture on the screen.
“This guy is pretending to be Shane Hollander on Grindr. It’s pretty funny. He’s cropped the face out, but he’s using pictures from the billboard next to my apartment.”
Or: Ilya Rozanov is sure he's being catfished- why would the real Shane Hollander be on Grindr, talking to random university of Ottawa students? But the more he talks to Wayne, the more he starts to like him, and the more he wishes Wayne would just come clean so they can finally be together.

Summary
When Ilya answers, he’s greeted with a whimpered moan that goes straight to his head, leaving him reeling like he’s just thrown back another shot. His mouth drops open, the cigarette dangling stupidly from his lower lip for a second until he plucks it free with his other hand.
Holy fuck. He must be dreaming. But the rough breaths filtering into his ear are too real, tethering him tightly to the moment.
“Jane,” he murmurs, gleeful and shocked. “This is not like you.”
