Summary
“A rose bouquet?” Eddie's eyebrow lifted up. “1, 2, 3, are there-”
“34, yes. 34 roses for your 34th birthday.” Buck smiled brightly, eyes shining as he picked up and pushed it into Eddie's chest.
“34, that's- so thoughtful Buck thank you.” Eddie grasped the bouquet firmly. Then he looked up at Buck in alert. His cheeks were already turning bright red. “But- Why are they- red?”
“Because it's your favorite color?” Buck looked at him a little puzzled, his smile still big.
“Oh, OMG! yes! Red! My favorite color! Of course! Haha silly me, how could I forget.”

Summary
I’ve known Buck longer than you’ve been alive. He’s never taken you to the zoo or driven you to school or cooked you your favourite meal from scratch just because you asked. He’s never saved you from a tsunami. He’s never held you through nightmare after nightmare. He’s never come back from the dead because you told him to. He’s never sacrificed himself over and over and over to keep you safe. He’s never loved you like he loves me.
Logically, Christopher knows there’s a reason Buck hasn’t done any of these things for Theo. He hasn’t been given the chance to. Yet.

Chris figures out his place in Buck’s life. He just has to yell at a child first.

Summary
“His shirt’s on inside out,” Josh commented to Linda. Eddie opened the door to the breakroom and tried to let it close behind him, but that did not deter either of his colleagues. “Is this a walk of shame?”
“Well, I am walking,” Eddie confirmed, rounding the counter and beelining to the empty coffee pot. “And full of shame.”
“What happened?”
“I stood him up,” he answered, shortly.
After what was probably a very involved silent conversation between Linda and Josh, Josh said, “Eddie, if you aren’t ready, I’m sure he’d understand.”
“I am ready,” he said, detaching the water reservoir with more force than necessary. “I didn’t do it on purpose.”
