    “I’m not gonna ask why, it’s obvious. You want your family back, and I understand that Rayla and I don’t want to get in the way, but…” His hands formed fists “One of them killed my father.” Ezran’s voice trembled with fury, his eyes were closed, avoiding any contact with her. Not that she minded, she wasn’t sure she could manage to see the fury at his innocent blue eyes. “And believe me when I say I would love to forget about it, forget about what happened, but I can’t. Not when my very title is a reminder of it. I’m king because no one can rule from under a grave”

    Her heart skipped a beat. Hearing Ezran talk like that broke her heart. It was true, though: he had missed his childhood because of his responsibilities as king, and more soon than later he would also miss his teenage years.

    “If only there was a way to go back in time I would stop him, Ez, no matter what.”
