Tim was supposed to be the pretty Omega bait to lure the handsome and rich Alpha, and Jason was supposed to be on the sidelines, ready to extract Tim if needed. After all, as far as everyone knew, he was an Alpha and not suited for this kind of delicate mission.
And that was okay, it was a good plan. Right up until he suffered from a failing scent patch and the opportunistic Alpha, Armand Dupont, flipped the script on all of them and began courting Jason instead.

As Dick walks back to shore, he feels his injured foot become tangled with something slippery. He frowns and tries to keep walking. It’s probably just a piece of kelp. He shakes his foot to rid himself of it.
Suddenly, he’s being pulled down, yanked out of the shallow cove by whatever’s wrapped around his ankle. He coughs on the water he finds himself inhaling, throat burning, eyes stinging, mouth filled with saltwater and garbled screams. Something else wraps around his other thigh, dragging him further into the depths. His ears pop as he watches the moon’s blurry light get further and further away.
