Summary
Izaya was diagnosed as bipolar after being injured in the final battle with Shizuo and Vorona. He gets physical therapy to walk again, and medication for his illness, and Shizuo, his former enemy, unexpectedly because his everything.
Mairu and Kururi, freshly won over by his improved behavior, are important to him, and Mairu especially needs his help, very pregnant at eighteen, and suffering from an illness similar to his. Between all this, the ancient prophecy Celty remembers, Shizuo's concerning, deep cough and the rumors of an international drug trafficking ring involving Ikebukuro, Izaya finds his hands very full indeed. Will he ever escape his past? Can he survive the near future? And what happens when Izaya's fragile grip on his reality starts slipping away?

Summary
The scars though… those were more interesting. Freckles came from genetics and too much exposure to the sun. With scars, each mark had a story attached to it. Perhaps some tales were forgotten, but the whole image was a testament to Reed’s vitality and vindictiveness. It was just so human.
