To be reminded that he was not the only one lonely and adrift while apart. Liu Kang can’t stop the sigh that leaves him, can’t stop his hand from sliding up Kung Lao’s chest to rest over his heart. Feeling it beat into his palm chases away all the worries that had plagued him in his lover’s absence. He’s here now, in one piece and safe.

Liu Kang snickered, "How unusual, A-Lao," it made him let out a huff of exasperation. As he rolled his eyes, he could feel Liu Kang's hands continuing with a hint of teasing—how troublesome. He already could hear the incoming lecture or anything that resembled it.
