Summary
Leon was supposed to be a cop. Raccoon City’s gold-star boy, sparkling eyes and dressed in blue, eager to serve and protect his community. Now, the only serving he did was at a dive bar downtown, owned by his friend, Luis. It wasn’t a bad place to work - in fact, the chaos was the perfect distraction, one of the many things Leon did to stop himself from thinking about *it*. Drinking, working, sex and the occasional cigarette, all were excellent temporary solutions to Leon’s biggest problem: remembering.
Tonight, a wide-shouldered, scarred-up stranger was sitting at the bar. He should have been no different to Leon’s normal flings: fuck, sleep over in an apartment leagues nicer than his own, take an actually hot shower, then leave quietly, never to be seen again. Chris keeps throwing subtle glances towards Leon as they advance through the dark tunnels only illuminated by their flashlights.
