Dabi had done it. After countless loops, countless deaths, countless nights ending with Bakugou cold in his arms, he had finally managed to save him.
For once, things were actually supposed to end well.
What Dabi failed to account for, however, was Bakugou himself.
Because Bakugou seemed to want him just fine.
And yet, the first time he brought up mating, Bakugou laughed directly in his face.
Or: While Dabi skipped several steps ahead somewhere along the loops, Bakugou remained stubbornly rooted in reality. Dabi's oblivious, Bakugou's suspicious, and they can't talk for shit.

Summary
Bakugou messed up some things, and sought Shouto's help to save himself. What's supposed to be an easy way-out plan, ended up to be far more complicated than they would have expected.
Or: Bakugou's an ex lover of yakuza heir, pregnant and on the run. Shouto's still sweet and dense, so he agreed (or was rather forced) to help Bakugou disappear when needed, and now they're about to build a (hopefully) functional family together while bickering like an old married couple.

There were times Dabi wanted to rip it clean off Bakugou’s body.
Then, there were nights when he clutched the fabric so tightly his knuckles turned white. Desperate to believe he mistook it with crimson seeping through his fingers. It was so red it hid Bakugou’s blood all too well.
Could they actually save him?
Dabi had held his cold corpse too many times to believe that. It felt like a bad dream Dabi couldn't wake up from. There was no escaping it—
Bakugou would die.
Unless Dabi manages to stop it.
