The first thing he sees is a pair of fluffy, blond ears that reminded him of the golden wheat fields back home, perked up in that particular angle that showed annoyance. More grumbling, then he finally sees who’s the owner of those adorable ears that almost made Phainon smile stupidly thanks to the sudden cuteness aggression he got from them.
A gorgeous man accompanied with the sweet scent of pomegranate, jasmines and myrtle. Phainon felt like a lighting stroke him down right where he was standing – this man smells like a sunlit garden. He smells like his precious town, and the sun-kissed fresh sweet scent almost made Phainon immediately jump towards the man. His scent was just like everything Phainon could’ve desired in a partner.

"Good afternoon, Ptolemy. Oh, my day went great, Ptolemy." Perdikkas drops his laptop and notes onto the table across from Ptolemy, his eyebags prominent against his pale skin. He does not bring coffee to the library, but they're sure he's running on his third cup of the day, like every other medical student.
Mydei is in a not-so-secret relationship. His friends (attempt to) find out who it is.

“No! I’m serious! I do have a partner and we’re very much in love!” Castorice glanced at Phainon with a look that could be described as pity, and shook her head.
“alright then, if you really do have a partner, can you show us a picture?” Phainon whipped out his phone, and scrolled through his camera roll and clicked on a picture of a man with a handsomely sculpted face, paired with blonde hair, which slowly faded to a bright, crimson red at the edges, holding a white puppy, and showed it to his friends.
“lmfao you’re lying, you could never bag that,” cipher snorted, “Phainon are you sure you didn’t just take this photo off insta???” Castorice questioned.

Or: Phainon is dating Mydei.
So when his friends invite him over, and attempt to plan an intervention, he has to explain to them, that he's already dating someone, they obviously don’t believe him so, he shows his friends a pic, and it somehow escalates to Mydei showing up to their hangout.
