Summary
Starscream might be sparked and on medical leave (or whatever they are calling it now that the war is over, he guesses) but he is definitely able to deal with a simple recognition mission on a useless little desert planet. Even if he has to tolerate the Protectobots coming along, at least those five are not on the list of most annoying Autobots. What's the worst that could happen?
When First Aid complained to Ratchet that he wanted more medical experience with no supervision, he did not mean “dealing with the first sparkling emergence in millions of vorns while stuck on an abandoned base in the middle of a magnetic storm”.
Also, Blades should have shut up five sentences ago.

Summary
Starscream and Skyfire love each other.
But when Skyfire kisses him and things are about to escalate, Starscream feels like his wires are all tangled and his frame was going to rust and fall apart in the worst ways. It wasn't about Skyfire.
He knew this shouldn't be a problem. So he tries to ignore it.
Skyfire can't ignore it. So he stops and listens.

"-I mean it when I say it. I love you. I care about you.”
“Why?” Starscream asked. No sass. Just genuine, heartbreaking confusion. Doubt.
“I can’t even give you what you want. Look at us now- Look at me now!” He demanded, gesturing to their frames.The two bots were sitting on other ends of the berth, Starscream almost right at the edge. The lighting in the room was comfortable and romantic.
The atmosphere was tense.
___(Starscream has issues communicating and seeing the importance of his own boundaries but Skyfire shows him how loved he is)
