On New Year's Eve 1940, the black and white picture of St. Paul Cathedral, standing unscathed in a wrecked London, was shoved down Wool's orphans' throat as though, it alone, was enough light in the Blitz's despair to descry a glimpse of hope.
As though, telling kids who had to live with the Devil that there was a proof God existed, could ever be enough to relive their long-lost faith.

He's in Italy with classmates, experts & his professors as they continue the decades-long search for the final resting place of the Lost King of Akeilos.The only thing more valuable than the Lost King's final resting place is an answer to the millennia-old mystery: where did the Forgotten Son of Vere go? While excavating, Nicaise falls through a ceiling into a burial tomb. But as Nicaise works and studies to discover more about these men, their lives and their deaths, he begins to realize a broken bone might be the least of his issues...

Summary
Laurent is a ragdoll, pulled down into the dark at improbable speed. The lift it makes in his stomach is odd, like the giddy drop on a rollercoaster. A moment of elation, perhaps, before he dies.
He breaks the surface.
His gasping mouth now pulls in air, his feet firmly on the rock bottom of the spring and legs holding him up unshakably. Water streams from his head, down his body, as though a bucket had been dumped over his head. He reaches up to push his sopping hair from his eyes.
“Naiad,” a voice says.
Laurent stills. Psychological collapse should be allowed, by the universe, to be a solitary affair, especially when it happens in a state of complete undress. It’s unfair on a cosmic level that Laurent should be happened upon by a stranger in his current condition.

On holiday with his brother in Ios, Laurent bathes in a hot spring. Unfortunately, he drowns. Even more unfortunately, when he surfaces somehow, he finds himself thrust back in time. Dropped into the middle of a mythologised ancient war for the Akielon throne, he is determined to get back to the modern day - even after ending up kidnapped (or perhaps rescued) by the rightful King, Damianos.

Last night, as they danced to bad music in the living room, Damen wearing that stupidly big grin on his face and picking him up without stumbling for a single second to kiss him hard, Laurent didn’t feel any of the anxiety he thought he would.
He thought the smell of liquor on his lover’s breath would bring up too many bad memories if he allowed it in the bedroom. He thought he would feel anxious and afraid, that Damen, as gentle as he is, might be too rough if he was too drunk to control himself. But he wasn’t. Damen was just… Damen.

While Laurent is an experienced actor who's already been on broadway and has grown up in a family of artists, Damen is just your typical influencer who's decided to branch out. Let's just say Laurent's not too impressed when he discovers he has to work with an amateur like that. Except for that the amateur actually looks kind of hot and maybe he isn't actually that bad at acting or singing.
