Summary
Maekar’s world had come to a stop when the Kingsguard informed him of Baelor’s condition. Dread settled at the pit of his stomach, ice in his veins. It had been but moments since Aerion had been in his arms, barely conscious, but alive. Maekar had no time to feel any sense of relief as the panic returned in full force, and with it the thought of losing the person he loved most.
Or: Baelor survives the blow to his head. Maekar does not forgive himself.

Summary
"I struck you, my brother, my—" Maekar chokes on his words; he is unbefitting of the honour of such sentiments.
"I hold no grudge against you, valonqar. It was done in defence of your son, there was no malice in it."
Maekar wants to scream. Baelor has not seen how close their family came to damnation and ruin, but Maekar has, he is reminded of it every time he closes his eyes.

The one where Baelor actually remembers to bring his own armour, and he survives the Trial of Seven.
