Summary
Bound beneath loose tunics and hidden beneath the name Quinn, survival comes easier as a market boy than as a girl alone in a harsh medieval town. Work is hard, coin is scarce, and people vanish often enough that few bother asking questions anymore.
Then the circus arrives.
With it come strange performers, impossible tricks, and rumors of witchcraft. A Pierrot offers Quinn a red ticket. Another insists she belongs to him instead. The deeper she wanders into the circus grounds, the harder it becomes to tell where performance ends and something far older begins.
After all, humans wear masks too, some just happen to be monsters.And some smiles are very difficult to escape.
