Set right after Robert’s Rebellion. Following his new King’s orders, Jaime takes a trip to the North before finally getting to head home. There he meets someone he never expected, a little boy. A bastard, who appeared to be all alone in the world. Jaime didn’t know what possessed him, but he found himself ready to go to war with the North if it meant saving this unloved child. He takes the boy back to Casterly Rock with him only to discover that this boy is no mere bastard, but the secret trueborn son of the one man Jaime has respected his whole life, Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. Jaime had already fallen in love with the sweet boy as if he was his own son. Now more than ever he was going to see that the boy’s destiny was fulfilled. That he avenged his family and took back what was rightfully his. Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen would be crowned the King of the Seven Kingdoms and that was an oath that Jaime Lannister was never going to break.
