Summary
Darkness, darkness far as the eye could see. Legend has it, there lives a mysterious mare in the mood who governs over the land of the night and grants the world blessings, shining her light down onto the dark nights on earth. This legend, an old folks tale the elders spoke of, only a few hundred years old, the face of a horse imprinted on the white rock on every full moon. Now, no one knows why this phenomenon occurs, or how it happened, but all they know, is that every few years, on the night of a full moon, in the silence, the soft cries of a woman is heard, weeping for nearly a thousand years now.
And there, in the heart of the moon, sat a lonely goddess, her hooves grown tired from walking around this endless void, her tears dissipating into starlight, the soft shimmer of the moon growing more beautiful with each tear.
Her loneliness was inevitable, trapped for a thousand years with no knowledge of the world she was in, left to rot in the heart of her beloved night. Still, the moment another's cries were heard, that loneliness ached, curious she listened to the woes of a young boy who suffered.

Summary
Jiang Cheng, Sect Leader of the Jiang Clan of Yunmeng, was arranged into a marriage by his parents a few years back, back before the wens attacked the peace of Lotus Pier and burnt it down, killing his only family, leaving only him and his older sister, along with his Martial Brother, Wei Wuxian.
The marriage was postponed, and offered to be annulled, but Jiang Cheng, with his stupid crush on the first son of the Lan Clan, Lan Xichen, agreed to keep the marriage going.
Or
Jin Guangyao died early with his crimes being unearthed, Lan Xichen mourning for his love, as Jiang Cheng is forced to watch his husband mourn for another, love another, knowing it would never be him. After all, a Lan only loves once.
