March gestured anxiously, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

“Disco?” Healy raised an eyebrow. “What, like the queer music? You think the back room of that store is full of porn for… For disco fans.” He nodded thoughtfully a couple of times. “And you’re an expert about this?”
For a second the whole world went white around the edges and March thought he might pass out. He was too sober for this conversation. What exactly had Healy noticed that morning, how obvious exactly had his full-body reaction to Healy’s hand on his neck been? “I was a happily married man!” March said, and as soon as it came out of his mouth he knew it was wrong. Too fast, too high-pitched, too loud.

That is to say, in the pursuit of knowledge, scientists can do some really fudging dumb things.
The scientist in question? Doctor Captain Ryland Grace. The research design? Experimental. The line of inquiry? Whether the multibillion-dollar extensive healthcare system—a glorified nanny bot, really—aboard a spaceship hurtling into deep space could serve as a substitute for human touch. That is to say, a substitute for human touch in the interest of touch starvation… as a, uh, secondary objective. Because the primary objective involves… er… usecaseinsexualendeavors.
Ergo: Grace wants to turn Armando into a fuck machine.
Or: Grace and Rocky struggle with intimacy due to biological constraints. So, they decide to use Armando as a way to bridge the gap. However, when it comes to these two, things don't always go according to plan.

Summary
Part of him reckons they're here to buy something to use on him too, which makes him breathe faster, feeling much like an animal caught in a hunting trap, watching it's incoming demise. He blinks and he's managed to stumble outside, shakily lighting up a cigarette. Maybe Healy was right, but he doesn't want to stay around to find out, even now that he's stopped feeling like he's being held at gunpoint.
He can't stand seeing the sign, shivering despite the relatively warm weather. Healy is making his way back towards him, box in hand. He looks slightly sheepish, and Holland bitterly hopes so for plunging him into that with no prior warning.
