    Senku has been Aromantic and Asexual since his high school years, and that was a fact as true as the fundamentals of science. So getting to know someone on a deep level without the pressure of something he knew he couldn't give back was basically impossible for him. Until he saw the way Gen could love him without expecting anything in return. Until he saw how easy it was to give all he could give knowing that it was enough.
