    Jason returned to a bigger family than he left behind when he died, and even than what existed when he first became Red Hood. He knew there would be some changes in how they all worked together, there had to be. Batman could not truly claim that he worked anywhere near alone these days.

    He thought he was prepared for the changes that awaited him.

    What he wasn't prepared for was how well Dick conceals his anger.

    And Dick isn’t lying, is the thing. There isn’t any lasting damage. He’ll be sore for a few days and then move on, just like every other time he’s copped a hit on patrol.

    Only this time a few assholes had to go and brag about it to Red fucking Hood.

    “You sure?” Jason asks now, which for him is practically fawning. “You’re being kind of…weird.”

    In which Dick has a bad few days at the end of a bad few weeks, deals with a spot of mild torture, and comes face to face with the enormity of his own guilt over what happened to Jason. He's fine though.

    Tim is really not okay. He’s pulled away from his family and is trudging through his days in a way that is far from healthy. He knows he needs help, knows where the road he’s going down leads, but he so incredibly tired. He doesn’t know if he can go on, and can’t pull himself out of the deep end.

    Somehow, through his depression, he’s still patrolling, and one night a case catches him off guard completely. It rattles him so thoroughly that it’s all he can think about. It’s a wake up call. He can’t go on like this.

    Tim is severely depressed and more the slightly suicidal. After responding to a suicide case on patrol that hit too close to home, he forces himself to reach out.

    Damian didn’t get it; why Bruce looked like he was going to age 10 years faster while Dick looked somewhat apologetic.

    Duke and Cassandra looked at each other, then Jason looked at them before all three of them looked at Dick, who simply mouthed at them that they’d understand in a moment.
