    Kotone Shiomi was just a regular transfer student at Tokyo's Shujin Academy.

    All she had been looking to do this school year was stick to her studies, make new friends, and maybe spend some time with her girlfriend Aigis. She most certainly had not been looking to fall into a castle, meet a gaggle of strange masked teenagers, and become a founding member of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.

    Hey, that was life, right? Right? But couple all that with the strange looks she was getting from one of her fellow transfer students, and the scattered visions of a boy in a yellow scarf that seemed to dog her steps...

    And well, maybe Kotone Shiomi wasn't quite as regular a transfer student as she might have thought.

    An unfamiliar voice coughs behind her—Kanade turns her head and strands of purple hair fall into her vision.

    “This kind of illness—it’s not good for the patient to know the details of, unless they risk relapse. Do you remember anything?” The purple-haired girl shifts closer, looking at Kanade with an intensity that makes her shrink away.

    It feels like bad manners to interject, but the purple-haired girl seems like she knows Kanade. “I'm sorry,” Kanade whispers, “do I… know you?”

    Kanade’s forgotten something important—she and Mafuyu traverse the aftermath.

    A head of wild green hair presses against the side of her face, individual hairs tickling her skin, and that lovely scent of tea and flowers filling the air. She can’t help but smile, even with her arms pinned against her sides as she’s squashed between the plates of her armoured dress. “My—teacher,” she strains out, “how may—I help you?”
