Modern AU, No Oath, No evil creatures bent on gaining control of the earth and destroying everything (I mean, there are politicians in there if you squint but... ), No Elves, No Valar.
The day was grey, but not bad at all for a day of March in North Beleriand.
Himring was a perpetually cold city, it earned its name fairly, and yet the city was well loved by its inhabitants.
Next to Himring, stood the Himlad national park, mountain, forests, and protected wildlife. That attracted a lot of tourist in the summer season.Series

The last part of their stay in Námo’s realm had been absolutely mind-numbingly boring, without any redeeming quality in Celegorm’s opinion, but right now, he wasn’t sure he wouldn’t have preferred to still be in the halls of the dead.
The feeling of being in a body again was downright foreign to his fëa and he had to fight to contain the nausea and instinct to flee it.
“Ugh. That is… Extremely disturbing.” He heard one of his brothers say, Curufin. Good, he was there too.

When asked if he and his family could look after them Maedhros is hesitant, but this might actually be the new start he needs, whilst rediscovering old parts of himself and wondering where along the way Maitimo was lost.A story of new beginnings, finding family and love out of the ashes of old lives.
