Summary
“when you say problem,” dr. smith makes another note, “how do you mean, exactly? do you find it difficult to reach orgasm outside of heat?”
“i find it difficult to reach orgasm at all.”
dr. smith’s eyebrows shoot up his forehead before he manages to school his expression back into polite, professional curiosity. “when was your last heat, macklin?”
“three months ago.”
“and when was your last orgasm?”
macklin frowns. he wracks his brain, trying to remember. he has a vague memory of being in a hotel room somewhere in new jersey, face down on the bed, screaming into a pillow as he jammed three fingers into his cunt and shook through the first orgasm he’d had in nearly a year.
“um, six or seven?”
“…days?”
“no,” macklin says, “months.”

Summary
Will knows Mack isn’t trying to hurt him.
But somewhere between rookie year, late-night hotel rooms, and becoming inseparable in San Jose, their “casual” thing stopped feeling casual to Will a long time ago. Mack still kisses girls at parties after spending the entire day begging Will to come over. Still looks at him like he’s the center of his universe without realizing what that does to him.
Back in Boston for Marathon Monday, old friendships resurface, old feelings crack open, and Will starts realizing how much of himself he’s quietly handed over to one person.
Or: Will Smith is disastrously in love with Macklin Celebrini, Ryan Leonard wants his best friend/past hookup back, and it’s a giant mess of feelings all around.

Summary
“Hm, and did anything special happened besides that?”
“Nope,” he shakes his head innocently. “This week was all about assignments, drills and hanging out with Lane. Pretty chill. Nice.”
He definitely did not meet up with Will Smith Hockey from BC again. They did not see each other in the park between their dorms, they did not spend an hour talking on the seesaw, and Mack did not feel that weird pressure under his ribs, that could be interpreted as both butterflies and as his guts giving him a warning sign, informing him what he already knows - that Will Smith is no good for him, no matter how blue his eyes are.
And they’re really really blue. The bluest Mack has ever seen.–

Summary
"Goddamn, Sid,” his dad says softly from behind him. “When Mario said they'd definitely find someone to keep up with you, I didn't think they'd literally make someone to keep up with you.”
Sid's throat clicks as he tries to answer. “The program never works,” he says. “I'll just be waiting a year longer.”
Where the Penguins can't find a player to match Sid, so they opt to grow one from scratch instead.
