Summary
Jack looks over his shoulder, and the distance never truly encloses between him and the ranch. A false hope. Something that could’ve been. When he looks forward, the remnants of the past tugs on the rope binding his hands a little harder. A sign, maybe, that all will end the same way his father did, and whatever else was apart of that make believe story about a family.
The snow is still stained with blood even if the wrong one is dead. Dutch bows his head as though to forgive himself. There is no one to forgive him when he stands alone drenched in the cold of misery.
