Summary
"You signed with the LA Kings?" she demanded. "What were you thinking? You know the plan. We'd go to the draft, get first pick, and go to Montreal."
"What are you even talking about?" Shane shot back. "If I got first pick, I'd go to Boston, not Montreal. And I don't even want to go to Montreal."
"Why?" Mom asked immediately. "They're one of the best teams in the league. One of the Original Six."
Something inside him snapped, and before he even realized it, he switched to Japanese.
"I don't know," he said, his voice tight. "Maybe because they're full of racists and homophobes. Do you even understand what I'm saying? Or have you become so white you forgot your own language?"

Summary
Tim closed his eyes and thought about Jason, bright and passionate and alive. Robin laughing as he leapt across Gotham’s rooftops. Jason snickering into a plate of hors d’oeuvres as Brucie Wayne spilled wine on a rude socialite. Robin gently placing a bandaid on the skinned knee of young girl, spinning a dramatic tale to distract her from the pain. Jason standing in the parking lot of Gotham academy, rambling excitedly about The Great Gatsby to an amused Dick Grayson. Robin grinning over his shoulder at Tim as Tim raised his camera.
Gotham needed a Robin.
But Robin was dead.
Tim thought about Robin, cold and broken and still under Gotham’s soil. Robin, whose last moments had been pain and terror. Robin, calling for a father who would arrive too late. Robin, who would never fly again.
Gotham needed a Robin.
But Robin was dead.
Robin is dead. Tim Drake is going to fix that.

Summary
Tuney Chance would just like to say, for the record, that she is not paid nearly enough to be dealing with this much Bat guano. Wait, no, she's not even getting paid at all!
Which makes it even more annoying.
It was fine when she and Bruce Wayne were kids. Kids tend to be unknowingly suicidal. When Bruce grew up and pulled in another kid into the lifestyle? Okay, yeah, she can deal. What's one more person, right? But then he pulled yet another kid in, then another, then before she knew it, the guy's got a fucking CITY of these kids running about in leotards, throwing themselves into danger every night like it's going out of style. Tuney is so sleep deprived, swear to God, her Gucci eyebags have eyebags.
She decides to confront the man. This is fucking unsustainable. The man needs to stop spreading around his vigilante germs, or Tuney would just about fucking die of exhaustion.
(In which a dimension-traveler-slash-goddess is absolutely DONE with covering Bat asses. Could they not just let her sleep in peace for once?)

Summary
When May Castellan tried to become the Oracle of Delphi, the curse broke her mind. Only, it didn't. It just awoke the memories of her past life.
Unfortunately, she doesn't remember much from that book series she read as a kid. Which is kind of a problem when her son is Luke Castellan. She's pretty sure that he's a major player in the series, but all she knows about him is that he was possessed by Kronos and sacrificed his life to stop him.
So when she sees a god standing over him, of course she does the sensible thing and runs as far away as possible.

Summary
“It’s okay. I don’t need anything.”
“I am not going to eat in front of you while you have nothing, Hollander,” Ilya scoffs. He plucks a can of cold ginger ale from the top shelf as casually as he can manage and slides it over the island, interrupting Hollander’s fidgeting thumbs. “You must be hungry, yes? It’s been hours since you left hotel. I can make something. Easy.”
“Make… what?” he asks warily.
Ilya rolls his eyes and tosses a look over his shoulder. “Do not worry. I will find something that works for your special hockey diet,” he teases. He reaches back into the fridge. “Tuna melt okay?”
“No,” Hollander says primly. “And it’s a disease. Not a diet.”
He pulls his hands out of the cold and turns, blinks. “What?”
