Summary
Faced with an impossible situation in Summerhall, Lord Commander Duncan finds his end at the hands of his friend and king, and in the flames that soon consume Summerhall. Summary
“My nephew, Aegon, lost a toy he was fond of – a wooden horse – on the way here. I would like to see it replaced, lest he sulk for the duration of the tourney.”
After a quarrel, Aegon loses his favorite toy, and Baelor, being the good uncle that he is, takes effort to replace it, which brings him into contact with a local woodworker, against the backdrop of a celebratory tourney.

With a smile that Baelor tried very hard to believe was not directed just at him, the blue-eyed man and his massive steed turned in a flurry of the horse’s white, black, and red caparison, and galloped off to round the arena once more. As he rode, his coif slipped back and away from his hair. Long, strawberry blond locks spilled free to stream out behind him. As he reached the other side of the arena, the knight glanced over and caught Baelor’s eye again.

Summary
Ser Duncan the Tall has a good life. Household knight to the Targaryens, holding favor of the current King and his Hand - no matter that the white-haired alpha refused to admit it, and a generally long leash to do as he pleased, Duncan should have been happy.
