Summary
First fic I've written since before the pandemic, but this show has taken over my heart and my soul.
Inspired by my brain thinking 'well how does Nick decide to become a teacher?', and 'how many of the school rules have Nick and Charlie broken since they got together?'.
Please note that the age of consent in the UK is 16, and this is set when Charlie is in Year 11, and after his birthday (so he is 16). Also it is canon (Word of Alice in 'Nick and Charlie') that they are having sex before Nick leaves school.
This plays fast and loose with a mix of TV canon, Webcomic canon, and, probably, fanon. Aled - no, Isaac - yes.

Apparently so, Charlie thinks as he continues to scroll through his messages. He sighs and almost decides to give up on Grindr for the night and switch over to his group chat with his friends. He clicks over to the browse tab again – one last time – and sees someone he definitely hadn’t seen a minute ago.

Summary
This could’ve been the best thing that ever happened to me, but instead it’s the absolute worst. When I heard that we were going to have vertical form groups at the start of the new term, I never imagined that the universe had a fucked up sense of humour.
See the thing is, the guy who just sat down next to me with the dark curls and the stormy eyes, his name is Charlie Spring. I’ve had a massive crush on him for the better part of a year… and I’m pretty sure he has no idea who I even am. Or if he does then he probably doesn’t have a good opinion of me. And now not only is he in my form group, but he’s been assigned to sit right next to me.
This could’ve been a great way for us to finally actually meet; I wouldn’t have to think up some elaborate reason to get to talk to him, I could just strike up casual conversations and we could get to know each other. Then when I finally got the courage to confess, I wouldn’t be some random stranger.
It could’ve been the best thing… except…
