Summary
In which one Izuku Midoriya is born with a supposedly latent bird mutation, this would normally leave him entirely quirkless beyond some minor traits; He can vocalize with bird sounds, can understand birds to some degree, and his nails are a bit more like talons.
When Bakugou goes more than a bit too far and later on All Might crushes his dreams, Izuku finally has had enough and takes the ‘advice’.
He wakes up hours later in a pool of his own blood with shimmering orange-gold-purple wings sprouting from his back.
Turns out he does have a quirk! He can’t die! Yippee!!
Oh and now he has wings so he’s an actual bird?With a new lease on life, and determined to figure out how his quirk works, Izuku becomes a vigilante, catching the attention of one very tired underground pro.
And someone else with bright red wings and bird instincts.

All Ash wanted was to drop an egg off and maybe get a vacation after the whole Crisis in Kalos
Instead he gets given a Z-Ring by the local legend and has to deal with the fact that the Pokemon school is actually pretty nice, even if he's only attending for things unrelated to battling and care

Summary
After the events that transpired in Michina, Arceus finds itself in a new timeline, bereft of the rage for humanity that had been fermenting in its ancient heart for two thousand years. Damos never betrayed Arceus' trust, and it was through the actions of a mere child from the present time that the Alpha was shown this significant error. Arceus is not used to the concept of being capable of making errors. If it had been wrong about what happened in Michina, it stands to reason that it had been wrong many times before that as well. So, after some lengthy introspection, the Original One embarks on a journey to explore the world it had created to see if the creation can teach something more to the creator.
Then Arceus immediately runs into Ash Ketchum, learns that this one human kid has been at the center of several near-world-ending incidents concerning legendary & mythical Pokemon across four regions, is made privy to the fact that he has died several times already, and is all but forced into joining him for breakfast over at his mom's house. Also, Arceus finds out human food tastes excellent.
Ash is leaving for the Unova region next week, and Arceus wants to join him to mitigate the inevitable chaos.

Pausing bc of it being the last chapter for rn
But holy FUCKING SHIT this is probably one of the most well written fics ive read based in the unova series-
And I didn't like that series all that much so that's-
God N being added adds so much and I absolutely adore how he's being written in this ficI really hope you're doing alright, if you the author ever happens to read this!
This is an absolute delight and I'm definitely gonna reread it at some point, even if more chapters aren't ever added for one reason or anotherAnyway!
Cilan's rant on Ash was absolutely stunning, even if it was filled with his good metaphors that I honestly love the character for
I firmly believe that he single handedly held together the Unova anime as he was my favorite in the episodes I sawIris is... Iris
She's cool here though and not as grating as I felt she was in the anime
Though having N be more of the focus here probably helpsIf Ash ever reveals just how much he's done imma metaphorically die happy bc just imagining the shock is like the sweetest of songs and very good
