Summary
Andrea Sachs takes a job she is wildly overqualified for, in a building she has no business being in, for a woman she has no intention of falling for.
Miranda Priestly has never been satisfactorily read by anyone – certainly not a second assistant.
The problem with well-constructed masks is that someone, eventually, will want to see the face beneath.

Summary
Andy has always been able to read Miranda at work, and it has been a safety net of sorts as she has guarded her desperately loving heart that way. When Miranda begins to act out of character, Andy feels like on shifting sand, and then comes the day when Miranda insists on joining Andy in the dressing room--and that sets it all in motion.

Summary
Humans invented weather forecasting to determine whether it was appropriate to wear a coat or to bring an umbrella, or simply, if they were going to have a good day.
At Runway, the only forecast that mattered was the proximity of their features editor, Andrea Sachs’ seat to Miranda Priestly during meetings.

“This is the third time this week I’ve watched you go pale,” she said coldly.
Her eyes moved over Andy.

Andy searched her expression, still impossible to read.

Summary
Twenty years after walking away from Miranda in Paris, Andy Sachs finds herself back at Runway, looking to return to her editorial roots.
The magazine is struggling, the Features department is a mess, and working here again is probably the worst idea she’s ever had. But Andy refuses to be intimidated. She’s older now, sharper, far more experienced, and much less willing to be rattled than she was at twenty-four. Even when the person doing the rattling is Miranda Priestly herself.
Because despite Miranda’s convenient act of selective amnesia, Andy knows she has forgotten nothing. Not the eight months they spent caught in each other’s orbit, and definitely not the last night in Paris that shattered everything between them.
At first, Andy is determined to keep things professional, prove she belongs at Runway on her own terms, and ignore the history still lingering between them. But as outside pressure mounts and old feelings resurface, she finds herself falling for Miranda all over again. And this time, Miranda isn’t doing nearly as good a job pretending she doesn’t feel it too.
