Summary
“You’re restless, Eddie.”
The exhausted human scoffs at the other with tightened breath. His body curls deeper in on itself in bed. He doesn’t trust his own voice when he says,
“Well bud, that’s what happens when you keep me awake for over twenty-four hours.”
His words hold a slight tremble, exhaustion plaguing each of his heavy limbs. There is silence and then gurgling before there’s any response.“That’s not all though, is it?”
“I don’t care for whatever you’re getting at.” Eddie grumbles before flipping avoidantly onto his side.
“We are restless, Eddie.” The human sighs helplessly at this, his frustration pinching his features as he uselessly fluffs his flattened pillow. The silence is heavy in the room, aside from the slithering, burbling of the symbiotie.
