Buck will hate himself his whole life for leaning into it for a whole second but he turns his face away, deeply conscious of the fact that a drunk grieving Eddie is not consenting.

Summary
Eddie lets out a wrecked exhale, and finally, finally looks at Buck. His eyes are red-rimmed, and Buck’s breath catches in his throat. Something crumbles the longer Buck looks at him, and Buck sees the exact moment his walls come down.
“Come here,” Buck whispers, aching, holding his arm out for Eddie. Eddie crashes into him like he’d just been waiting for permission, shaking violently. He hides his face in Buck’s shoulder, fingers digging desperately into Buck’s skin. Buck wraps his arms around him, tight, and takes comfort in knowing there’s no force in the world that could get him to pull away.
