    Summary

Anthony’s retirement features a much loved antique store, a very sweet assistant, and a well-established feud with the owner of the other antique store across the street.

It might be easier on everyone if he and his sworn rival would just admit how they really feel to each other.

“What if we ruin our friendship?”

    “Isn’t that the point?”

Gary blinked at him. He felt a little weak at the knees. “Like, what kind of ruin are we talking? If you could clarify, that would be so great, because—”

    “Gary.”

    “Yeah?”

    “Shut up.”

After Quinn rejects him, she helps prod Gary in the real direction of his heart's desire.

    Summary

And speaking of mysteries…A. Z. Fell was himself an elusive figure, almost certainly a pseudonym, his author’s biography brief, bland and lacking any photographs. Nobody knew who he was. He’d written half a dozen books, and hadn’t done an iota of publicity for any of them.

    Until today.

Crowley isn't at Hay Festival to get a date. He's there to work: to review panels, maybe the odd interview. Maybe, if he's lucky, he'll score one with his favourite author, the mysterious A. Z. Fell.

    Summary

Crowley is a regular participant in the Cooper’s Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake. Aziraphale is the baffled paramedic waiting for him at the bottom.

    -

Aziraphale took one look at the grinning lunatic in sunglasses, which had stayed on his face despite all laws of physics, and knew by the way he clutched at his arm as he limped his way upright that he’d probably managed to break it whilst pinwheeling down 200 meters of nearly thirty degree slope at speeds faster than Aziraphale was comfortable peddling his bicycle on relatively flat ground. Even more perplexing than the fact that he’d done this in the first place was the fact that once he’d done it, and had suffered the easily foreseen and very painful consequences, he wasn’t immediately rushing himself to the nearest ambulance. Instead, he turned towards the officiant at the line and yelled “Oi, did I win?!”

    Summary

Crowley loves to swim. If asked, he probably wouldn’t be able to say exactly why; he’s just always felt more at home in water than on dry land. Mostly, he thinks, it’s the monotony, the back and forth, back and forth, surging ever forwards between two walls, steady and unending, the unrelenting rhythm soothing the race of spiralling thoughts that plague his every waking moment. That’s probably it. It has absolutely nothing to do with the new hot lifeguard who volunteers on a Friday afternoon. Nope, definitely not.

Crowley has a crush on the new lifeguard at his pool and does everything he can to catch his attention.
