1991: Ilya was born with a gray soulmark which meant that his soulmate was already dead or at least dying. On draft day, he’s picked by Montreal, and Shane has to stop it if he ever wants to wake up again. Ilya learns what he has to do to save his soulmate.
Or: Shane is Sleeping Beauty and Ilya is ready to do everything to save his soulmate. Once a year, they share a dream until it’s time for Shane to wake up.
