Summary
Goro just weaves his fingers through rough curls, tugging his head to the side so that he could nip at an earfin. The first hint of teeth sends a shiver through Akira’s body, making him flinch at the hard press of fangs—some sort of survival instinct that resents any proximity to an empty stomach. It’s fine though, Goro will be full soon enough.
“Go on,” Goro whispers, “Didn’t you say you wanted to take care of me?”

Summary
“What’s one thing, then, that you think points out a vampire?”
Silver eyes, hair of pitch, red gloves, a voice that was too rich and deep for a teenage boy to have. So many things to choose from, so little that actually matter.
Goro and Akira sit down to share a drink in Jazz Jin.

Summary
Goro tugs at the hem of his skirt, shifting on stocking-covered feet. It was agonizing, looking at the flashing light of the camera and the seconds ticking—the frame firmly centered on his bed. He knows that if he waits any longer he'll risk the battery dying or some other grand inconvenience. But he can't get over the churning feeling that seems to have frozen him in place. Keeping him standing—staring at the cream coverlet and the dusty pink box resting on its surface. He can't bring himself to do much more than breathe and blink, desperately trying to keep his heart slow.
He jumps at the soft ding of a bell. But it's only his phone, it's only—Akira.

Summary
Yes, it was Akira moving closer that woke him up. That was all. Simply the movement of another human being in his sphere, huddling close and holding him. Hand limp and lips soft, legs relaxed and back curled, eyes closed and hips moving just the slightest—
Goro swallows, seeing nothing in the darkness and hearing only the hitched little skips of Akira’s breathing.

Summary
There has to be a greater power. They truly cannot be acting of their own free will. No one really does. Not in the purest sense. Society puts constraints on them all, for ease of function, for lessening the burden.
Why, then, does Kurusu act as if he has the power of choice?
