When pre-timeskip Hubert shows up unexpectedly post-timeskip, post-timeskip Hubert decides he should take advantage of this opportunity to give his younger self a few very important lessons. Including some hands-on demonstrations. (motivations for going along with this are per usual largely just offscreen)
Really it's more that post-TS Hubert wants to show post-TS Ferdinand a good time in spite of himself. just because he also happens to enjoy that a lot is probably beside the point
