Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Damian Wayne-Al Ghul are pen-pals for three years, during that time, Marinette slowly but surely falls in love (and Damian falls with her). Damian has to heal from his childhood and Marinette is still changing from growing pains; they are leaving partners and friends and toxicity and gods behind them.

Summary
Marinette has well over 50 unread messages, several dozen missed calls from Alfred and Tim. Nothing from Bruce, normally that would be comforting. He would have tried to get in touch as well if there was an emergency. But Bruce is no contact this week for some mission in Rio.
She navigates to her texts from Tim first, they’re the bulk of her notifications.
The first few messages are in reply to hers, and then the next message has her trying not to drop her phone. Her blood turns to ice as she reads through the rest of his messages.
