Summary
Shota's a simple man with simple needs: once a drab gray salesman in a drab gray office, he's since left behind the world of business and taught himself to slow down, go his own way, and put life first. His summer unfolds with the promise of the unplanned. Anything can happen... although he'll probably just chill around Seoul, teach some yoga classes, work out, play with his dog, and dodge his mother's attempts at marrying him off.
Jongseob is a hell of a lot more complicated, though he really wishes he wasn't. All he wants to do is to live, safe and happy, with his kids, but he still has the daunting process of facing his husband in court and finalizing his divorce standing in his way. Single parenthood is hard. Working a full-time job and going to school is hard. Hating everything about yourself and having to put on a smiling face for your two kids is hard. Just about the only thing he has to make life easier is a golden-retriever-coded himbo of a neighbor, who doesn't seem put-off by Jongseob's sorry excuse for an existence.
Or: Shota teaches Jongseob the importance of self-care, self-love, and even the occasional bit of reckless hedonism.

Beomgyu hadn't actually thought the board would agree; he hadn't expected thoughtful nods and logistics at his suggestion. He'd been stunned when Yeonjun himself had said, "That's a great idea! MOA has been wanting a subunit with us since Gotta Go, and they really reacted well to our part in the Beautiful Strangers choreo. Good thinking, Beomgyu-yah."

The cough from beside Beomgyu and the quick, nervous bounce of his knee had proved that, yes, Yeonjun did want that in him. He'd only reaffirmed it when he'd nodded silently.
(Beomgyu had taken a very long, very deliberate look at Yeonjun, and his mind had conjured up the sight of his flat stomach, pulled taut when he was on his back, and his thin waist, and the vaguest impression of something bulging from his stomach, and Beomgyu had felt a little light headed. He had asked, half dazed, half curious, "Can you even take that in you?"
Yeonjun had turned to him, grin a little mischievous but still flustered, and he had challenged, "You can make me take it, can't you?"

Instead, Shane allows it, only letting out an amused huff as Ilya laps at him dumbly. So he works his way up, sticking his tongue in his ear, just to see what he’ll do. Shane jerks, the spatula flinging a few egg particles on to the counter.
“Stop it, you aren’t a dog,” Shane mumbles, voice still rough from sleep.
Ilya giggles, belly tightening. Pleased for some reason. Happy to get a reaction.
