Summary
When Leon catches his boyfriend Micah cheating on him, he ends their three-year relationship without a second thought. Heartbroken and with nowhere else to go, he crashes at Claire's place. She doesn't hesitate to take him in, offering him a place to stay and helping him pick up the pieces. A few weeks later, Chris drops by to check on Claire — and mostly on Leon. Seeing him so devastated breaks his heart. With patience, and support, Chris gradually helps Leon find his footing again. Somewhere along the way, their friendship starts turning into something neither of them expected. Neither is Claire or Jill or-” Chris sucked in a breath, composing himself. “I thought I lost you. I know why you stopped calling, after Claire’s party.” Chris looked down at his boots, voice trailing off.
Leon still couldn’t bring himself to respond. He could see the vulnerability in Chris’ face, it cracking through his usual composed facade.
